Rowing in Michigan's Saginaw Valley
Located on the wide and calm Saginaw River, the club offers some of the best rowing in the Mid-West. The Victorian style boat house provides storage for both club and member boats as well as meeting and exercise rooms. The spaceous grounds, surrounded by the Middle Grounds park and connected to the River Walk pier and rail trail, are great for pinics and other activities.
The Club's long, wide floating dock sits on a calm water channel off the main river. Lauching and recovery is easy even with multiple boats.
The club provides a complete rowing opportunity to the entire community including: training, sport rowing, recreational rowing, social activities, competition, boat storage and meeting rooms.
Membership is open to anyone. Membership classifications include Adult, Family, Student and Supporting Associate.
The rowing season begins on April 15 each year. The boathouse remains open until ice forms on the river in the fall.
For information about membership and our "Learn To Row" program you can leave a message on the boathouse answering machine at (989) 892-5769.

Youth Rowing
For the 2007 rowing season the Club expanded the program to offer a combined program to students from all of the Bay County High Schools.
The Central High School rowing CREW provides an exciting opportunity for our young people to experience one of America's fastest growing high school sports.
The crew of 25 young men and women hold regular winter workouts in the school swimming pool and at the Bay Area Family "YMCA". Water practice starts in April when the boat house opens. The crew competes in regatas in Michigan and surrounding states.
Check out the Central High CREW REPORT link for pictures and other information gathered over the last dozen years.
