Youth Rowing Crew provides an exciting opportunity for our young people to experience one of America's fastest growing high school sports. Plans are being made to offer a youth program Monday and Wednesday evenings at 4pm, starting in early June, 2009.
Proposed 2009 Program Activities includes participation in the Ann Arbor Michigan Regatta, July 25th.

Indoor Rowing for the Off Season

Indoor Regatta's provide a way to make Rowing a year round sport. A Regatta is set-up similarly to a water regatta where rowers can race individually or as a team. The rowing machines are connected to computer and your boat's progress is shown on a screen as you race the other entries.
During the rowing season, while school is still in session, The Crew has practiced 4-5 times a week on the water in single, double and four person boats. Typically, two to three water Regattas are be attended during this time period.
From mid-June to August the High School students practice with adult BCRC program.
When school starts in August the Crew would begin practices separately from adults. Typically workouts would be held 3 times a week. Usually the Crew would attend at least one Fall water Regatta.
