CLUB SAFETY POLICIES

Please observe the following safety guidelines.

SAFETY
- Rowing and use of equipment is open to MEMBERS in good standing ONLY.
- Members must sign a "Release of Liability" form every year prior to use of the equipment. Release forms are mailed each year to members and are also available at the boathouse.

- Members must have demonstrated knowledge of boat handling, boat safety, boathouse procedures, and rowing ability prior to use of equipment without supervision.
- Guests are allowed to use club equipment only when supervised by coach or other experienced club member. Approved guests must sign a "Release of Liability" form prior to using equipment.
- Observe the water temperature in the Spring and Fall. The club policy is that no rowing is allowed if the water temperature is below 50 degrees.
- Follow the club's sign out and sign out policy, by entering boat use into the log book just inside the boathouse door.
- Buddy rowing is recommended. Experienced rowers may row solo at their own risk.
- Learn to swim. Club policy is that all rowers must be swimers.
- Use common sense!
