MEMBERSHIP

CLASSIFICATIONS

The Bay City Rowing Club currently has five membership classifications. All members have voting priviledges and are encouraged to participate even if they don't row.

  1. Under 27 membership – This membership costs $55 for twelve months, and is for anyone not yet 27 years of age. Parental/Guardian written consent is required for members under 18 years old.

  2. Individual membership – Regular membership for those 27 and older costs $120 for twelve months.

  3. Family membership – This membership costs $150 for twelve months, and is for an immediate family. BCRC by-laws (Article II, Section 4) define family members "as any person residing at the same principle residence of any family unit and shall include father, mother, step-father, step-mother, guardian and children."

  4. Supporting (non-rowing) membership – This membership cost $30 for twelve months, and is for anyone that wishes to support the community activities and programs of the BCRC, but does not use the rowing facilities.

  5. Trial Rower - Membership is required to participate in club activities. The club understand, however, that it may take a few sessions before an individual is certain that they will enjoy the benefits of rowing. Coaches are authorized to allow anyone who signs a waiver form to row in a clinic for a few weeks as a no-charge trial member. Check the schedule for clinic dates and times.
LEARN TO ROW PROGRAM

The Club offers a "learn to row" program each spring. This program is designed to get a new rower safely on the water in a short time. Click here for Learn To Row information.
