The 1998 race season began with the Grand Rapids High School Invitational regatta held Saturday April 18. The crew and many parents drove to Grand Rapids on Friday and, for $1 each, spent the night on the floor of that city's Central High. Follow this link for seven pictures from Grand Rapids.

The second and third races of the season were in Wyandotte Michigan on Saturday April 25 then the following weekend, May 1 and 2.

The Wyandotte club, with over 100 years of rowing history, has just opened their new rowing facility. This must be one of the best rowing centers in the mid-west. Follow this link for pictures from Wyandotte.

The final race we'll attend this year was the 15th annual Toledo International in Toledo, Ohio raced on Saturday, May 16, 1998. The pictures are not back yet but click here and we can tell you all about the exciting day.

Crew Welcomes the Appledore

On the Friday before the Toledo International Bay City welcomed the schooner Appledore to its new home port. Being a fixture on the river, it was only natural for the crew to join the flotilla of boats and escort the Appledore to it's new home.
