CLUB SAFETY POLICIES
Safe rowing is essential. All members must be trained and understand rowing safety before using the club equipment.
Please observe the following safety guidelines.

SAFETY
- Rowing and use of equipment is open to MEMBERS in good standing ONLY.
- Guests are NOT allowed to use club equipment unless approved by a club coach. Approved guests must sign a release of liability form (see below).
- Members must have demonstrated knowledge of boat handling, boat safety, boathouse procedures, and rowing ability.
- Members must have a signed "USRowing Release of Liability". Release forms are be available at the boathouse. You can also download a form in Acrobat PDFformat.
- Observe the water temperature in the Spring and Fall. The club policy is no rowing if temperature is below 50 degrees.
- Sign out before you hit the water and please sign in when you return.
- Buddy rowing is recommended. Experienced rowers may row solo at their own risk.
- Learn to swim. Club policy is that all rowers must be swimers.
